Sonia Gantman, Providence College, and Suffolk University Professor Dmitry Zinoviev, Mathematics & Computer Science, coauthored and copresented the paper "Conceptual Structure of Fraud Research and Its Dynamics" at AMCIS 2017—Americas Conference on Information Systems.

The authors processed 16,000 fraud-related academic papers published in the past 20 years and constructed a semantic map of the fraud research landscape, based on the keywords and subject tags. They identified eight major and 10 minor fraud research areas, including political and academic fraud and research of adulteration—the failure of food products to meet federal or state standards.
